Veronica Finnegan is a communications manager living in The Hudson Valley.
She holds two bachelor’s degrees (Visual Art and English Literature) from Dyson College at Pace University, a certificate in Applied Art from Westchester Community College, and a certificate in Copyediting from The University of California at San Diego. She is a graduate of Paz & Associates’ Bookstore Business Essentials Program.
She is currently the Communications Manager at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, where she started as the Communications Associate in 2017.
Her earlier work as a marketing copywriter had her creating newsletters, blog content, emails, landing pages, print and digital ads, and much more.
In addition to her communications work in the field of animal rescue, she has applied her marketing skills to helping independent booksellers compete across digital platforms, with social media “audits” and educational videos for booksellers.
Veronica is a strong believer in local involvement: She has been a clinic escort since 2017 and member of her local Planned Parenthood Activist Council since September 2018. Since October 2019, she has volunteered with Food Not Bombs, a collective that reduces food waste and addresses hunger by collecting discarded food and sharing vegan meals with the community.
She enjoys reading and reviewing books, cooking vegan food, listening to true-crime podcasts, and spending time watching Star Trek with her husband and their small herd of rescues.
